Dr. Sri Sri Trinetra Mahantha Shivayogi Swamiji is the Founder & President of DMS Chandravana Ashrama, Srirangapatna, Mandya — a life devoted to the preservation of Sanatana Dharma, Vedic learning, and service to society.
A rare blend of traditional gurukula training and formal academic scholarship, Swamiji has spent over two decades transforming the mutt into a vibrant spiritual and cultural center — guiding devotees through teaching, ritual, and seva while carrying forward the mission of his revered Guru.
Early Life
Dr. Sri Sri Trinetra Mahantha Shivayogi Swamiji was born on 3rd August 1976 in Thendekere village, K.R. Pet Taluk, Mandya District, as the fourth son of Sri Panchaksharaiah and Smt. Nagarathnamma. From an early age, young Trinetra Kumara displayed a deep interest in Pooja, Vedic studies, and spiritual practices. Recognizing his devotion, his parents encouraged and supported his education in the path of dharma.
Spiritual and Vedic Education
Swamiji began his formal spiritual journey at Thaggina Mutt, Harapanahalli, where he studied the foundations of the Vedas. He later continued his higher studies at Sri Yediyur Siddalingeshwara Kshethra, where he gained profound knowledge in Sanskrit, Veda, Agama, Upanishads, and Jyotisha (Astrology).
To further excel in Sanskrit, Swamiji enrolled at the prestigious Maharaja Sanskrit College, Mysore. His academic journey reflects a rare blend of traditional gurukula training and formal higher education.
Academic Qualifications
- Completed Primary and Secondary education at Tendekere Higher School.
- Completed Pre-University (12th Standard) at Yediyuru.
- Gained advanced knowledge in Sanskrit, Poetry, Veda, Agama, and Astrology at Yediyur Siddalingeshwara School.
- Secured Agama Praveena Vidwat Madhyama (Shakti Vishishtadvaita) from Mysore Maharaja Sanskrit Pathashala.
- Successfully completed Vedamoola Examination from Harapanahalli Tegginamutt Sanskrit Pathashala.
- Attained M.A. in Sanskrit from Karnataka State Open University, Mysore.
- Conferred Doctorate (Honorary D.Litt.) by Indian Virtual Academy for Peace & Education for his dedicated service to society.

Spiritual Initiation and Leadership
Swamiji received Deeksha from Sri Maridevaru Shivayogi Mahaswamy of Bebi Mutt. After initiation, he was named Dr. Sri Sri Trinetra Mahantha Shivayogi Swamiji and appointed as the successor of the mutt on 28th January 1999.
At the time of his leadership, the mutt faced several challenges including lack of basic infrastructure and resources. With vision, commitment, and tireless effort, Swamiji transformed it into a vibrant spiritual and cultural center, carrying forward the mission of his revered Guru.
